Cable cuff:
Materials: hand spun silk by Maggie Stearn, 5g approx.
Tension: 20sts x 26rows over 10cm in st-st
Suggested needles: 4mm
Abbreviations:
C6B slip next 3 stitches onto cable needle and leave at back of work, k3, then k3 from cable needle.
C3F slip next 3 stitches onto cable needle and leave at front of work, k3, then k3 from cable needle.
Knit:
Cast on 9 stitches.
Working in st-st continue as follows;
r5 C3B, k3
r9 k3, C3F
These 2 rows form the plaited cable pattern. Continue in this way, cabling every 4th row until work measures 19cm.
Work 4 rows st-st.
Cast off.
Make up:
Stitch half of the press stud to each end, between the edge and the first cable. Please note that at the cast on end this should be on the wrong side of the knitting and at the cast off end it should be on the right side.
