Knit:

Cast on 45sts

Foundation: p2 rows

Follow lace stitch chart above for the next 15rows, p all sts on w/s rows

NB: to keep the edge neat and tight you can slip the first of each row from the left to the right needle without knitting.

Work in st-st to a length of 19cm from longest point

Next row: k 10sts, k2tog, yo twice, k2tog tbl, k 17sts, k2tog, yo twice, k2tog tbl, k 10sts

Continue in st-st to a length of 25cm from longest point

Work 8 rows in 1×1 rib

Cast off rib-wise

Making up:

Fold rib back onto the main knit, wrong sides together, stitch the edges down. Press flat.

Slide the back cover into the envelope formed by the rib and wrap around.
